There are some men think they have no singing abilities, but the truth is that very few men can't sing.  Just like anything else, if one hasn't been properly taught to sing, then how can anyone expect them to sound good.  We offer free basic voice lessons which should get you off to a good start.

• helps one's health by expanding one's social group

• reduction of stress by reducing the levels of cortisol, the stress hormone

• ​it's been shown to be effective with pain relief most probably due to the release of an endorphin

Being a part of a collective goal / endeavor as a team member

I don't like the type of music

• We try to sing all types of music  

  • The music selection is based on the choir's ability

  • Choir members are allowed to provide their input into the selection of the music

I won't be able to attend rehearsals regularly because I am busy so I don't want to commit

• We are flexible with this 

  • Talk to us about this and we will see if we can work out something

  • ​Just a thought - we get so tied up in our careers and family that sometimes we need to take some time for  ourselves - kind of like "sharpening the saw" as described in the book "Seven Habits for Highly Effective People"

I see you are rehearsing in a church.  I am happy where I am and I don't want someone trying to recruit me away from my current church

• We are a group that prides ourselves on a diversity of men regardless of your religious beliefs.  Frankly,  we just want to sing!

I don't have money to pay a dues

• There are no dues charged to the members of the choir​

What is the youngest age one has to be in order to join the choir?

• We accept middle school young men but they should participate in a simple audition and we require the presence of a parent during the rehearsal for the young man's safety

  • ​We would love to have father and son teams in the choir.

  • ​High School men are encouraged to join the choir

  • We accept retired men, too
